Bob Iger recently went on record saying that Hulu, the online video streaming site that does not charge and makes money on advertising, could one day charge for content. Disney co-owns Hulu with NBC Universal and News Corp. He sites some stats about how much people are willing to spend on content, “$5 an hour to watch movies, 75 cents an hour reading books, magazines, and newspapers and 25 cents for every hour of Internet use.”. I got news for my good friend Bobby, once people get use to not paying for it they’re not going to want to pay for it, I think we all remember how the napster story ended. I just want to take this opportunity to say goodbye to Hulu, it was fun while it lasted. If you start charging it will have at least one thing in common with this photo.

GE. General Electric. Yes you know the fabled American brand. I love America, you love America, we all love America and our top notch businesses that we have here. Until you read articles like THIS. The Washington Post shows some of the awesome loopholes that corporations like GE are using to get Federal money with reduced lending fees. No stress tests and no cap on executive pay. Well played Mr. Immelt, well played. Check out the article for a deeper read.

Saw Jeffrey Immelt on Charlie Rose the other day. Interesting interview as always by Chuck. You may be amazed what you find on public television, tune in I mean you’re already paying for it (well if you pay taxes, so no Charlie Rose or Huell Howser for you Wesley “Seriously 17 Mil!?” Snipes).
