NBC outbid Fox and ABC/ESPN today for the rights to broadcast the Olympics through 2020. The deal is said to be worth over $4.2 billion dollars. After losing over $200 million on their last go ’round with the Olympics you might wonder why they’d ante up for 8 more years at that price [...] The Big Diesel is out of gas. Shaquille O’Neal officially retired yesterday after 19 seasons in the NBA. He finishes his career 5th on the all time scoring list with 4 NBA titles and 3 NBA Finals MVP’s. However, he’ll be best remembered for his certified platinum (wish this was a joke) [...] I noticed as I was posting this that this makes my 800th post on this trend setting beast I call the life and times of guy long. Only fitting that destiny made me post this golden Trickstar for number 800. Gold, Jerry. Gold. I was looking around for an image for a new print I have in mind and came across this gem. I laughed for about 3 minutes. King James and his flock got treated with this one. What a season this is turning out to be for all of us in the L.ittle G.iants L.eague and as I learned as a wee youngin’, Competition is none, I remain at the top like the sun. I’ll handover the reigns to this weeks Tuesday Tally to everyone’s favorite commissioner, Chris Long…take it away… Entering Week [...] It was promised last week and has now come home to roost. Here’s the always lovely commissioner Chris Long with the last 2 weeks of L.ittle G.iants L.eague news, banter and “good gaming” (you know the low five to the butt that players do that is, ummm, totally butch right?!)… Aaaand we’re back… A week off [...] You can either look at this as half full or half empty. It all depends on how you view life fellow L.ittle G.iants L.eaguers… There will be no Tuesday Tally this week BUT there will be a SUPER tally next week to make up for it. Our beloved commissioner got caught up livin’ the life this [...] I may be missing daily posts on here but I’m not missing Tuesday Tally’s. As I find my grind again enjoy what the commish, Chris Long, has to say about last week’s happenings in the L.ittle G.iants. L.eague… I don’t know if I’m ready to live in a world where Mark Sanchez is a viable fantasy [...] On the sidelines taking notes, as usual, is our well dressed commissioner, Chris Long.
