Took a road trip to my grandma’s this weekend in Nevada. Traveled by night on the way there and during the day on the way back. I haven’t been on a road trip in a while, reminds me of my youth when we use to camp during the summers. The car was equipped with a DVD player so we got to watch Godfather on the way out and Godfather II on the way back.
It was a really fun trip with plenty of family time mixed with an almost endless session on the craps table by yours truly. “Hot hand in a dice game baby girl…I’m talking ’bout 6 hours straight, clackity clackity clackity clack!” (to quote Tron).

Saw a couple huge, Texas sized, American flags.
Apparently I was in the presence of the “World’s Largest Ice Cream Stand”. I wouldn’t have known this but the 2 ice cream shaped signs gave it away immediately.
California’s beautiful Mojave Desert.
This is one of the coolest signs I’ve seen in a while. You can tell they put it in in the ’50′s and haven’t touched it since.
