Went over to see Hollywood Holt, Chester French and Lady Sovereign at the El Rey tonight. Hollywood kilt it as per usual. After he blew the lid off the joint it’s kinda hard to come on stage. Never seen Chester French live they were enjoyable. Lady S-O-V was fun also, last time I saw her here in LA she did about 2 songs before running off stage. So nice of her to throw down a whole hour this time. The best part of her performance was probably her throwing Beck’s (yes the beer) instead of the more traditional water all over the crowd. I was far enough away to miss this fun as I would have thrown beer back on her if she had done it to me. I stole some Hollywood posters on my way out, hence the pic.
