So I headed out to Flock Yeah for the saturday and sunday rides. Saturday we headed up Angeles Crest Highway. I rolled up on the scene a couple minutes after an accident about halfway through our journey between a girl and a guy. I believe she broke her leg and he broke his hand and had a gnar gash on his eyebrow. A bunch of us hung out until the firetrucks and ambulance came and then headed off to meet up with the rest and complete our journey back to hollywood.
Sunday was a ride over Mulholland to sunset and to the beach. Mulholland was insane. Pack driving in the hills is where it’s at. My Tomos LX isn’t kitted up so I got blown away by most people in the first pack. I had a solid pack of about 10 that I was with til I hit PCH. The video I posted before this was us at the gas station before we headed back to hollywood. On the way back the cops were definitely out in full force in Brentwood. Turns out they don’t like mobs of mopeds. I saw probably 4 or 5 of them blow by me full throttle in the other direction. My pack made it back to Echo Park with no incidents. I turned off and headed home near Dodger Stadium.
Probably a top 5 weekend from my adult life. I will definitely be going out of my way to hit some other Moped Army rally’s this year.
